Hi, I’m Alana, the photographer behind Alana Leslie Photography. I am so excited to meet you and work together. Photography allows me to connect with people in a meaningful way while preserving the moments that matter most. My goal is to create images that feel genuine, timeless, and full of emotion. Let’s capture memories together.
Alongside photography, I am a junior nursing student at Sacred Heart University, and my education and hands on experience in healthcare have shaped how I approach photographing weddings and events. Nursing has taught me how to stay calm, observant, and attentive during important and emotional moments, while my background as an EMT and volunteer firefighter has strengthened my ability to work under pressure and anticipate moments before they happen. Together, these experiences allow me to move confidently throughout the day while helping clients feel comfortable, supported, and at ease in front of the camera.
Photography has always been a creative outlet for me, influenced by my lifelong involvement in dance. Dance taught me how to see movement, timing, and natural connection, which helps me capture authentic interactions and beautiful candid moments. Whether your event is intimate and relaxed or full of energy and celebration, I approach every session with care, intention, and attention to detail.

My Process
BEFORE BOOKING
This is where we make sure we are the right fit. Once you reach out, I’ll answer any questions you have, go over session details, and help you choose the best option for what you’re looking for. We can talk about location ideas, timing, outfit guidance, and the overall vibe you want for your photos.
BOOKED
Once you are ready to move forward, I’ll send over your contract, invoice, and a short questionnaire. This helps me get to know you better and plan a session that feels personalized to you. After everything is completed, your date is officially reserved and we start bringing your vision to life.
Picture time
This is the fun part. On session day, I’ll guide you through posing and prompts so you never have to worry about what to do. My goal is to keep things relaxed, comfortable, and natural so your photos feel like you. Whether your session is playful, sentimental, or a little bit of both, I’ll be there to make it easy and enjoyable.
Delivering photos
After your session, I carefully go through and edit your images in my signature style. Your final gallery will be delivered through an online gallery where you can view, download, share, and save your photos. From there, you get to relive your session and enjoy the memories for years to come.
